Classics: Books for life
Classics is a celebration of sixty-two works of literature from Homer’s Iliad and Odyssey through to the novelists of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries: Austen, Charlotte and Emily Bronte, George Eliot, Dickens, Melville, Flaubert, Dostoyevsky, Tolstoy, Conrad, Wharton, Forster, Joyce, Woolf, Kafka, Rhys, Bulgakov, Fitzgerald, Faulkner, Nabokov, McCullers, Cormac McCarthy and Salman Rushdie.
Classics also contains contributions from many distinguished writers and readers on their favourite novels, including from JK Rowling, Don DeLillo, Elizabeth Knox and Luke Davies.
